Greece Day 1

The flight: Just Plane Insanity

cute? totally. 

Good morning! 

Last night, I stayed up all night with my best friend, Alexa. We packed and finished our homework and then realized we couldn’t sleep -- I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a trip before in my whole life. I’m going to greece, home of the gyro and the infamous tradition of breaking plates, with my best friends... Does it get better? Nope I don’t think so.

Airport

I legit hate bus rides. I just sat on a bus for two hours. I fell asleep and people took beautiful photos of my attractive mid-dream face. LOVELY. Anyways, we just got here and we’re having lunch. Did I mention it’s still early morning... AKA breakfast time? Did I also mention I’ve had maybe 3 meals already today? I can tell already, this is going to be a long day.  

Plane

Hello there,

My highlights of the day so far have been: 1) making dog tags with my friends for the trip and 2) Alexa opening the emergency exit at the airport. 

Mr C "Now why did you open that door, Alexa?"

Alexa "I wanted some fresh air"

Anyways, I’m sitting on an easy jet flight, my first easy jet flight might I add, with Mr. Wade and Abby Capener. Abby and I are ready to find the emergency crow bar and jump out of the window. I swear if Mr. Wade makes me rehearse this dumb script one more time, I’ll actually get up and lock myself in the bathroom for the duration of the flight.

Guess what Mr. Wade just asked me to rehearse? 

Guess who has failed to locate the emergency crow bar? 

Touch Down in Athens 

We’re on the bus and we’re going to tour the city. I haven’t slept yet. I think it will be cool though... I’ll write more from the hotel.

Hotel

We saw the Olympic stadium, the Greek Parlaiment and these guards who did a dance routine. I want to master their moves and then whip em out at parties. Alexa, Cecy, Eugenia and I, of course, had to take some photos of the dance squad. We headed back to the hotel and were given our room assignments. I wasn’t with anyone I had requested. They announced Alexa, Eugenia and Cecy together and handed them their key. I actually almost started to cry. My room assignment was with Vale and Georgia... and I was nervous. (I didn’t know it then, but these two wound up becoming some of my closest friends. After about a day, we totally clicked and I love them beyond words!) Did I mention we almost left the olympic stadium without a bunch of people?
